About Kindred Music . Org
During their teen years, two sisters, Janice Grubbs Splawn and Janelda Grubbs Hodo, and their cousin, Radonna Fuller Hale, decided to form a vocal trio and enter a fine arts competition for a major church denomination. They won first place at the local, sectional, state and regional competition and went on to compete at the national level. Their parents asked their nephew, Dale Franks, an evangelist, to take them to the national competition. In turn, Dale asked the three to travel with him for the entire summer to assist him in his evangelistic services and to give the trio experience in performing before an audience. That summer the four developed a musical repertoire and conducted services and concerts in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Kansas before continuing to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to compete in the national competition. The trio placed third at the national level.
Since that summer, the four have continued to sing together in churches and concerts. Currently they are in the process of recording a CD which will be released in the near future. Early versions of some songs from the CD will appear soon on this web site.
